Gratitude Grove
About
From The Oakridge school -
Oakridge junior Landen Barnett collaborated with the Upper School Deans to launch an initiative called Gratitude Grove. The response to the initiative has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 60 submissions. The Oakridge community has embraced the opportunity to spread joy through stuffed animals and heartfelt notes.
Every day, one lucky Owl is randomly selected and receives a stuffed animal and a note to pass on to another student needing encouragement or a pick-me-up. The impact of these acts of kindness can be felt throughout Upper School. Whether the gift is delivered personally or anonymously, Gratitude Grove fosters connections and nurtures a culture of compassion and support among Owls.
Let’s give Landen Barnett a round of applause for creating a new initiative that will continue to brighten the spirits of our Owls and spread the spirit of gratitude throughout campus for years to come!
Mission
Gratitude Groves is dedicated to enhancing the overall mental health of students, uplifting and supporting teachers, and fostering a positive school community. We believe that by promoting gratitude and connection, we can create an environment where everyone thrives.
Vision
"Our vision is to inspire and uplift our school community by providing heartfelt notes and thoughtful gifts of gratitude. Each week, we will celebrate a deserving student, and every two weeks, a selected teacher or administrator will be recognized for their dedication. Together, we can foster a culture of appreciation and encouragement, making our school a brighter place for everyone."
